When you’re building a community or anything as large as Microsoft’s Xbox Live, you need a way to connect people. For years, Microsoft has basically counted on three Xbox Live features bringing people together. Gamertags let them create their own personality and interact with each other. Messages let users talk directly. Parties give everyone a single digital room to hang out in.

I sincerely hope that Battlefield 1's release this week hasn't caused you to swear off testing video games from every developer. Today on Xbox Live, the gaming community's biggest test experience kicks off. The Call of Duty Infinite Warfare beta that you've all been waiting for has arrived.
A few weeks back I told you all that The en would go more personal. I said that it would double-down on integrating my personality, sense of humor and taste. Maybe you even noticed a new color scheme that rids the site of its green branding for the first time ever. (Fun fact: red is my favorite color.) I'm planning to continue the transition to a more me focused brand with a new YouTube channel launching today.
I reviewed the Xbox Elite Controller for The En shortly after purchasing it March. At the time, I was looking to do more gaming on Windows. I'd tested out a Steam Controller for this purpose, but found it just wasn't comfortable. I took it back to GameStop and picked up the Elite instead. I love this thing.
Rockstar Games recently revealed the first Red Dead Redemption 2 trailer for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PCs running Microsoft's Windows operating system. All are coming to store shelves in the fall of 2017.
There's no boulder or crevice that you can stick your head under or behind to get away from Rockstar's latest game teases. Everyone, including someone on the International Space Station, I'm sure, is talking about the possibility of a Read Dead Redemption sequel.
The single player trailer for Battlefield 1, launching October 21st on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Windows PCs.
My setup has changed a lot. I've had three solid years to get new devices and refine my technique. I haven't ditched Windows Phone yet, but I've put some insurance policies in place in case Microsoft can't get its act together. I've rid myself of extra gaming equipment and change the what I carry. As such, I thought the piece needed revisiting.
Battlefield 1 marks the first time in a very long time a major first-person shooter has gone back to a historic event for inspiration, and that has a lot of folks excited. Three solid years of futuristic shooters with robots in them tends to have that effect on people. Starting tomorrow, October 13th, anyone with an EA Access subscription can experience the Battlefield 1 free trial that comes with the online video game service.
Now, I'm not saying that I still watch Power Rangers. When Disney purchased the rights to the franchise I bailed out. Power Rangers Jungle Fury remains the most hilarious idea to ever escape a writing room and make it to television. Some years back, Saban Entertainment managed to purchase the Power Rangers franchise back from Disney. Since it worked on a Power Rangers movie ever since. Over the weekend we got a chance to finally see some live action trailer from this coming movie.
