Xbox on Your PC: An Xbox Play Anywhere review

Xbox on Your PC: An Xbox Play Anywhere reviewLong on promises and short on delivery, I’ve looked on with amazement for years as Microsoft failed to deliver on PC gaming initiatives and getting its product groups to work together. No offense to the hard working people in Redmond, but the company’s failure in PC gaming are hard to forget. First there was Games for Windows Live, then there was the second coming of Games for Windows Live. Then Microsoft rolled out Xbox Live achievements to casual games in Windows 8. Early in the spring, the company mentioned that it had another plan to alter its fortunes in PC gaming. It’s called the initiative Xbox Play Anywhere.

All the Windows & Xbox games I’m playing this fall

All the Windows & Xbox games I’m playing this fallAs I looked out of my giant office windows this afternoon, I noticed the leaves have already begun to fall. It’s time to start making plans for the fall. I provided a brief look at what PC and Xbox games I’m planning to play this fall in this month’s Ask The en. I want to deep dive into it a bit more here though, you know, in the interest in oversharing and all that.

10 Years On: Set a Course for Home

10 Years On: Set a Course for HomeTen years ago this October, I started work on what would become ZuneSpring, then enConnected and finally The en. I made tons of new friends, all because we liked listening to music in those first few months. I went on to make even more friends when Zune met its end. There’s Marques Lyons, a man that needs no introduction, only a trombone. Will Devereux and I still argue over Star Trek and Star Wars every chance we get. Graham Skee, now out of the game and raising a beautiful family, taught me a lot about making your own dreams happen. So did Dave McLaughlin, Christa Charter and Matt Akers. The Xbox MVPs are some of the best people I’ve ever met. Hello Yenzer. What’s up Lefty? You wanna go dancing again Brandy and Rochelle?

I’m giving away a copy of ‘ReCore’

I’m giving away a copy of ‘ReCore’As long as we're all being perfectly honest with each other, real life events and a hectic schedule are keeping me from completing Comcept and Armature's ReCore for Xbox One and Windows 10. I'm still planning to review it and I'm still enjoying it, just like I said in this week's Ask The En. Since I'm not done yet, I thought I'd give one of you out there the opportunity to try it out for yourself, absolutely free of charge. That's right, I'm giving away a copy of the game.

Xbox Design Lab review

Xbox Design Lab reviewThe world of technology is populated by black boxes and slick brushed metal. One of the few exceptions to this rule are video game consoles. Meant to disappear into your setup, they’re almost always black and rather dull looking. With everyone buying all the same things, it’s hard to feel like an individual, like you purchased something cool and made it your own. Xbox Design Lab controllers are the answer to what ails us. At the website turned digital boutique, you can customize the current version of the Xbox Wireless Controller.

Xbox One S Battlefield 1 bundles offer new shades of grey & green

Xbox One S Battlefield 1 bundles offer new shades of grey & greenRumor is that tomorrow Hollywood will have a Fifty Shades Darker trailer for movie goers frustrated by quality writing from Woody Allen and box office earners fueled by Marvel characters. That news came just as Microsoft announced some grey and green related news of its own. The company is introducing three -- yes three different Xbox One S Battlefield 1 bundles over two months.
